FAQs

Who can join the Italian Club of Dallas?

The Italian Club of Dallas is open to everyone – you don’t have to be or speak Italian. We have members of all ages, backgrounds, and degrees of connection to Italy – what all members share is an interest in Italian culture.

How do I join?

You can join on our website. At this point you can complete the transaction on the internet thru PayPal or print the form and mail it. You can also pick up a membership form at the Club and submit it in person or mail it in.

Do I have to join the Club before attending an event?

No. Most events (including Cena) are open to Guests, but check the Calendar for information about special events that may require advance reservations. The best way to join the Club is online [LINK to Join Us/Sign Up], but you are also able to join at the Clubhouse. You are also welcome to attend events at the Guest price until you are ready to join.

Is there more than one location?

At this time we only have one location, in Addison.

How can I help?

Every event we have is an opportunity to volunteer. Contact our volunteer coordinator for more details.

Are there events for specific age groups?

The only events for specific age groups at this time are:

Italian language and dance classes for children on Saturday mornings Giovani Italiani (Young Italians) organize events and outings for the young (loosely defined) adults.

Is there a young people’s group?

Yes. Giovani Italiani has several events per month, such as trips to museums, restaurants, and parties. Many Giovani Italiani members stay at the Club after Cena or other events to socialize. Any time there is a meal at the Club, you are sure to find the Giovani Italiani. Giovani Italiani is open to all of the Club’s young adults. For more information or to be added to the e-vite list for Giovani Italiani events, contact Frank DeSimone.

Is my membership tax deductible?

No. While the Italian Club of Dallas is a 501(c)(3) organization, membership fees are not tax deductible because of the value of the benefits conferred with a membership.

Do I have to speak Italian to join the Italian Club of Dallas or to participate in an event?

No. But if you want to learn, you can.

Can I rent the Clubhouse for a private event?

Yes. The Clubhouse is available for rental for private events of up to 149 people. Our Clubhouse, which opened in February 2007, is the perfect place for many different kinds of events. There are several different areas of the Club available for rental that can accommodate groups of various sizes, including a bar, a main dining room and kitchen, and a boardroom. Club Members are eligible for discounted rental rates, as specified in the Rental Terms. For further information, to make a reservation, or to tour the Clubhouse, please help us by filling out this form
